Peanut Butter Bread initially gained popularity back in the summer of 2019 thanks to a YouTube video. YouTube user, Glen & Friends Cooking, shared a video making a Peanut Butter Bread recipe out of a 1932 edition of the Five Roses Flour: A Guide To Good Cooking cookbook.
Now the recipe is reemerging and is going viral on a Reddit subreddit called r/Old_Recipes. Even Instagram users are going crazy for this bread. Checkout the #peanutbutterbread. People are obsessed with this recipe because it requires simple pantry staples that you likely already have on hand. Further, it’s also popular because you don’t have to wait for the batter to rise as it doesn’t require yeast. And finally, it contains peanut butter and that is a win in itself!
