The Super Bowl is that time of year when people gather together to cheer, laugh, cry and dance to the halftime show. Sometimes these parties don’t get arrange until it’s really last minute, too late to make anything extravagant to eat. If you’re in this situation, try making these five minute snacks and your guests will be satisfied and pumped for the game!

1. Chips & Dip

Chips and dip take only a second to throw together on a platter and they keep the Super Bowl crowd happy until supper!

This year, try arranging a variety of veggie chips with regular potato chips and some onion or garlic dips. It’s a gourmet twist on a classic munchie snack.

2. Hummus & Crackers

Have you tried making your own hummus? It’s actually extremely easy and can be ready in five minutes or less!

If you are a little less ambitious and are more about just getting food on the table, serve up some crackers, pita, and hummus for a healthy but filling snack.

Cheese and crackers have always been a favorite when it comes to school snacks and when you become an adult not too much changes!

This time, instead of being served in plastic containers, arrange cheese crackers and a variety of meats on a platter for people to graze on.

Who needs more veggies in their diet? All of us! Chop up all your favorite vegetables and surround a small bowl of light ranch dressing with those bright colors!

It is best to ensure that you select a few different veggies that have very different colors to create a beautifully colorful platter.

Are people really wanting to munch on something for the duration of the Super Bowl? Instead of giving them junk food, opt for trail mix!

You can add in your family and friends’ favorite nuts, seeds and even throw in M&M’s or Smarties! Delicious.

Popcorn is one of those foods can you can feel like you’re eating a lot of when in reality it’s just air! One way to jazz it up is by adding creative toppings such a pickle juice or some sriracha to add some much-needed flavor.

If you like more traditional popcorn, toss it in some good old butter and sprinkle with salt.

7. Fruit and Yogurt Dip

Fruit and yogurt may not seem like your typical junk food snack for the Super Bowl, but for those people in the crowd who prefer sweet over salty, this is a great snack!

Instead of enjoying a brownie or two or three, serve this healthy platter first for people to fill up on some healthy desserts before the brownies come out.

8. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Footballs

This is a simple dessert that only takes a few moments to make. Melt some milk chocolate in a pot and dip the strawberries in. Let the strawberries dry.

After the strawberries have dried, melt some white chocolate and fill a small Ziploc bag with it. Cut a tiny hole in one corner and you can replicate the stitching of a football on these strawberries!

9. Tortilla Chips & Guacamole

Mash up some avocados, add lime juice, garlic, onion, salt and pepper and you are good to go! This also goes well with sour cream and salsa on the side.

To jazz it up, sprinkle cheese on the nachos and throw them in the microwave for 30 seconds for extra flavor and cheesy goodness.

10. Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese and Crackers

Do you have some foodies in your house for the Super Bowl this year? Doubt the chips and dip will cut it? Try serving this quick yet classy snack.

Spread herb cream cheese on a cracker. Top with smoked salmon and garnish with either a caper or a slice of green onion.

Mini sandwiches are often associated with funerals, but if you make these sandwiches irresistible, they’ll become a new crowd favorite at your Super Bowl party.

Serve on mini croissants, add a slice of ham, swiss cheese, mustard, mayo, pickle and lettuce for a sammy that won’t disappoint.
